Regional Express (Class 159)
Regional Express was the first livery used by the units, when they were ordered by BR Provincial Sector between 1987 amd 1989.
The colours were similar to the earliaer Regional Railways, but was in fact Cream on White, with two shades of blue, and the words EXPRESS. These words were dropped from the production of 158815 onwards in favour of a small REGIONAL RAILWAYS.
All units wore this colour scheme, except nos. 158901-158910, which were sponsored by West Yorkshire PTE. The livery can be found elsewhere.
