The Met Cam Group (formerly the 692 group) own four Metropolitan Cammell DMU vehicles: set 101692 plus Driving Motor Brake car 51188.
101692 - one of a kind!
Set 692 had a one-off livery which gained it some celebrity
status, although overshadowed by set 685 in "green".
It was one of six Longsight sets fitted with TPWS, the last
Class 101 sets working on the Network. These sets, the 'Longsight Six' battled
on far longer in the Manchester area than was ever originally envisaged.
Unfortunately mechanical faults saw 692 taken out of service only a matter of
weeks before the 101s were finally withdrawn.
