TfL operate potentially the largest amount of Bus Routes in the World, which is done by tendering the routes to outside contractors, and then stating the rules and guidlines for all the buses it operates. This is why aal London Buses are Red, with slight variation between operators, such as cream swoops on Arriva, yellow "Flying fs" on First, and Blue stripes along the floor on Metroline.
